Isacord is the thread we stitch with, and it comes in a few hundred fixed shades. Your brand colour almost never lands exactly on one of them, so the job is to find the closest shade that still reads right once it is stitched.
A Pantone chip is a printing-ink reference, printed flat on paper. It was never meant to describe thread, so a colour that looks perfect on a brand sheet can read a little differently as a stitched fill, where the light catches the thread. Bossa ThreadMatch bridges the two: give it a Pantone code or a hex value and it ranks the closest Isacord shades we stock, scored with CIEDE2000, the industry colour-difference standard that models how the eye actually sees colour.
Treat the top result as a strong starting point. Fabric, lighting, and dye lot all shift a colour, so when the shade has to be exact, send us the artwork and we will match it on the machine and stitch a sample first.
On-screen swatches are approximations. Real thread shifts with fabric, lighting, sheen and dye lot. Treat these as a starting point, then confirm against a physical thread before a production run. Send us your artwork and we'll match it on the machine, with a sewn-out sample if the colour has to be exact.
Matches are drawn only from the Isacord 40 thread colours we stock. Pantone® and Isacord® are trademarks of their respective owners. Bossa is not affiliated with or endorsed by either.
Send us your artwork and Pantone references and we'll handle the thread selection, digitizing, and a sample if you need to see it stitched first.
